A peaceful little town in Sri Lanka, Bentota is predominantly a beach town. Though the town has a rich history and a vibrant culture trail, there are surprisingly few festivals in Bentota. Although religious and cultural festivals like Christmas and New Year are celebrated, there are only a couple of events in Bentota that qualify as festivals.
As a hands-on holiday destination, Bentota will spoil you for choice. You can enjoy scuba diving, body surfing and parasailing, or you can just relax at one of the resort spas as you rejuvenate your body and soul.
