We recently did 'The Best of Azerbaijan & Georgia' 9-day tour with SOTC. We have done a number of trips--both in groups as well as customised--with SOTC. When we approached our RM, Mrs. Manashi Mukherjee she knew what exactly we were looking for. We had very little knowledge about these two countries, but Mrs. Mukherjee knew our pulses. It was more like a tour tailor-made for us. We couldn't have had a better deal!
The Tour Manager for this tour, Mr. Abhijit Pradhan is probably one of the best Tour Managers that I have come across so far. He had formed a WhatsApp group days before the ball started rolling and shared valuable information and tips. These information and tips turned out to be very useful and helped us a lot. What we appreciate the most was his thoughtfulness to welcome all of us with some snacks and drinks at the unearthly hours at 2.00 am, after an otherwise forgettable flight from New Delhi. All throughout the trip he managed to keep the spirit of the group high with his foresight, planning and eye for details. Our local guides, charming Ms Elnara in Baku and Mr. George Turalex, a Kabir Bedi doppelgänger, in Tbilisi were also equally good. Both had very good knowledge about the places, the history, geography, culture and the people. Both of them were good communicators and interacted perfectly with the group members.
The highlight of Azerbaijan and Georgia is that both present a pollution free environment--a welcome change. The weather was pleasant; although it was warm it was not humid. In fact Mrs. Mukherjee had suggested us to take the trip by the end of September instead of August, but due to preoccupation we stuck to an August schedule. The people in both the countries are generally very friendly. By the number of police personnel we saw in the street, we assumed that both the places are relatively safe. We had ventured on our own in the evening also and not for a moment did we feel uncomfortable. People in Baku and Tbilisi as well as those engaged in tourism industry elsewhere speak English well. The best part in both the places was that unlike in many other counties the trip was done at a leisurely pace; ideal for those on the wrong side of 60.
Lately both the countries are experiencing a surge in tourism. The infrastructure may not be comparable to some other more developed places but they make it up by the exemplary warmth, hospitality and amiability of the people. Although both the countries are witnessing a rise in tourists, however Group tours are still at a nascent stage which to us was a blessing in disguise. SOTC did well to prepare an itinerary which included all the major places of interest but did not make it very hectic. Another plus point of this trip was that the hotels provided at all the three places--Baku, Sheki and Tbilisi were top class; the hotels in Baku and Tbilisi were also near the city centres which was an added advantage. The best part of the deal was the cost; one cannot get it any better. SOTC has ticked all the boxes (save one) in this trip.
Scope for improvement : A better flight for a few dollars, I mean Rupees, more.
Thank You SOTC among others Mrs. Manashi Mukherjee, Mr. Abhijit Pradhan, Ms. Elnara and Mr. George for making this trip what it was. And a big thumbs up to all the group members. We shall cherish the memory of this for a long long time.

We recently traveled to Sri Lanka with SOTC Holidays, and it was a truly memorable experience! The itinerary was very well-planned by Purva and Team … keeping the places in mind we wanted to visit. Hotels were clean and well-located, and the transfers were smooth and punctual.
Our tour manager/guide and Driver was knowledgeable, friendly, and made sure we were well taken care of throughout. The visits to the beaches, and cultural sites gave us a perfect mix of relaxation and exploration.
What we really appreciated was the attention to detail and hassle-free arrangements – everything from meals to sightseeing was thoughtfully organized. SOTC made the trip stress-free, allowing us to just enjoy the beauty and warmth of Sri Lanka.

At the initial stage you provided us all the required help and guidance and thereafter you also helped us as regard our visa for UK and other European countries in terms of paper work and other guidance and on account of the said procedural perfection, we got the above visa in time to proceed for the much awaited Holidays.

We booked a customized tour package with SOTC Holidays for an all woman’s group tour to Moscow and St Petersburg. Our itinerary included 3 days of stay in St Petersburg and 2 days in Moscow, with guided city tours scheduled on the 2nd and 5th day of the trip and transfers from the airport to the hotel and back. Since our stay was of a very limited duration, the customised package worked well for us. The guided city tour ensured the efficient use of time, while the free days gave us the chance to explore the cities on our own. The choice of hotel in St Petersburg was good and in Moscow was excellent. Our tour guides and the girls who accompanied us from airport to the hotel and back were very friendly, enthusiastic and helpful. We had a very nice experience in Russia, courtesy SOTC Holidays.
