Basler Fasnacht in switzerland

On the Monday after every Ash Wednesday in March, Switzerland’s largest carnival takes place in Basel. Popularly known as the Basler Fasnacht, one must wake up at the crack of dawn to witness masked musicians parade through the city’s old town. This continues over a course of three days.
