Did you know that Kaziranga National Park is the last home of the Indian One-horned Rhino? The park, created in 1908, has an interesting history. It is said that when the wife of the Viceroy of India couldn’t find a single one-horned rhino, she persuaded her husband to set up the park. About 25 km from Kaziranga, the Kakochang Waterfalls is one of the most beautiful places to visit in Kaziranga. You cannot help but marvel at the natural beauty as you see the water cascade amidst the coffee and rubber plantations. Make it a day picnic.
