Winter is the best time to visit Kaziranga. From November to April, the weather stays nice as temperatures hover between 5°C to 25°C, making it an excellent time for bird watching and a safari. In summers, venturing outdoors becomes difficult due to the high heat and humidity. Monsoon is also not a good time to visit as the heavy rains and floods make sightseeing impossible.

Alternatively, you can also take a train to Furkating from Jorhat (90km) or Guwahati (240km). If you’re coming by train from around India, get down at Guwahati before proceeding ahead. The NH37 will take you to Kaziranga by road. You can either drive yourself or take a bus.
