Nothing gets a shopaholic more excited than street shopping in Bali, especially at night. Night markets are more food centric, however, and apart from buying arts and crafts and local handmade items, you can indulge in some of the best street food imaginable. The night markets are locally called ‘pasar malam’ and you will be surprised at how busy and full they are, thriving with locals and tourists out to get the best bargain or simply a bite to eat. The Sanur Night Market has food stalls selling lamb or chicken satay at very reasonable prices while the Gianyar Night Market in Gianyar is also a great spot to do some shopping in Bali. This chaotic market offers fashion accessories, toys and clothing along with the famed babi guling, roasted suckling pig. Other night markets include Taman Sari Market in Seminyak and Kereneng Night Market in Denpasar.
