Currency in Canada

The national currency in Canada is the Canadian Dollar. When you are travelling to Canada you must be sure that you exchange your home currency with Canadian Dollars. This would allow you to be at ease when you are travelling through Canada and when you need to buy items and services. Canadian notes are made from polymer and therefore they stick together easily so be extra careful when you stack them together.

When you are on your Canada trip to the border towns close to the United States you can make use of United States currency, but this is at the discretion of the retailer, so make sure that you do exchange your currency. Foreign currencies are easily exchanged into Canadian Dollars at the airports, large shopping malls, border crossings and banks. You can also bring in your credit card and ATM cards to Canada for shopping.
