On the banks of Lake Pichola is the grandiose City Palace, a complex of different buildings and an architectural gem of Rajasthan that offers an amazing insight into Rajasthan’s erstwhile royal culture. No surprise that it’s always featured on lists of places to go in Udaipur! Before you enter, stop by the Jagdish Temple to see the different shrines dedicated to each god. Once inside, you’ll see everything from the Vintage Car Museum (which in itself is one of the top Udaipur tourist places) to the Daawat-i-Aam, Daawat-i-Khas and Maharani Palace.
