Poipet in Western Cambodia is near the border with Thailand. It’s often the crossing point for people who are travelling between Bangkok and Siem Reap. Poipet is famous for its many casinos which are there in the main street and near the border. Not too far from here is the Banteay Chhmar temple complex that dates back to the Angkor period.
