Weather Conditions in Assam
Assam is endowed with the Tropical Monsoon Rainforest Climate which means it experiences heavy rainfall and high humidity. The monsoon downpours help release the heat of the summer and contributes to more fog in the winter. However, due to rising water levels, houses and livestock often get washed away. Bridges and roads get damaged because of the floods.

Winters frost between -8 and 25 degrees Celsius, between the months of October and March. For the lovers of cold, this is a spectacular time to visit Assam. In particular, this is the best time to visit Assam if you want to enjoy colourful and vibrant festivals such as Elephant Festival and Bihu Festival.
