How to Reach Manali

Get to know how to reach Manali before you plan your trip. The nearest airport is at Bhuntar, located 50kms away. Flights connect Bhuntar with Delhi and Chandigarh. You can take a pre-paid taxi from the airport. However, owing to weather conditions, flights are not the most reliable option.

Manali is very well-connected to Leh, Shimla, Kullu, Dharamshala and New Delhi by means of state-run and private buses air-conditioned Volvo buses.

If you take a train, the nearest station is Pathankot from where you can get your hotel to pick you up.

The drive up to Manali is very scenic. Though a lot of tourists prefer a self-drive up to Manali, it is advisable to hire a taxi in case you are not comfortable with driving in mountainous regions.
