Like all the other European destination, flying is the best way to reach Porto. Though Porto enjoys a good connectivity from major Indian cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata and Bengaluru, all flights have at least one stop in between. Porto’s Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport is located 13 km north of Porto. Once you land, you can reach the city by bus, metro, taxis or rental cars. Alternatively, you can arrange for your hotel to have you picked up at the airport.
Porto is surrounded by major motorways like A1, A3, A4, A28 and A29. You can drive in from around Portugal or other countries quite easily. It makes for a scenic and exciting road trip. You could also hop on to a bus for a more relaxed journey into the city.
