Paris, the capital of France, also known as the City of Light, is one of the loveliest tourist hotspots of the world. With world-class fine dining, an unparalleled fashion scene, and enormous palaces and castles, you can be sure that all your Paris tours will be different from the next. Walk down flower gardens, or time travel with art museums, this city will mesmerise you with its beauty and charm.

The city is the perfect getaway for loved ones and families alike and is visited by a staggering 85 million tourists every year! There are many factors that make Paris tourism so popular - apart from being the cultural hub of the world, it’s also blessed with pleasant weather through all seasons, and happens to be one of the rare few cities that has managed to maintain its cultural landmarks from the medieval era. With such a long and diverse history, you’ll never want your Paris tours to end.

Tourism in Paris

Do's

  • Try and learn a little bit of the local language, especially for basic words like “hello” and “thank you”. Locals will appreciate the effort.
  • Wear comfortable shoes. Getting from site to site can involve a lot of walking!
  • Visit the famous Mona Lisa at the Louvre. It’s totally worth your time.
  • Carry warm clothes during winter or fall. There are points in the day when there’s a cold wind in the air.
  • Spend at least half a day at a street-side bistro. Don’t worry about how long the food is taking to get to you. These places are all about the experience.

Don’ts

  • Do not be rude or disrespect any of the French customs.
  • Do not fall for street scams. Keep your guard up and you’ll have a great time.
  • Do not waste your time standing in long lines. Paris is a very touristy place, so planning your trip during the off-season if you don’t want to be mobbed by travellers.
