Naples Tourism

An Italian holiday in Naples is a dream vacation for many. Once a historic site of fierce battles, Naples is now an exciting holiday destination. It is chaotic, vibrant and full of life. The ‘Grand Dame’ has a character that has been forged over centuries by many significant events, natural and otherwise.

Though Naples has museums, the city itself is one big museum. Naples tourism is a beautiful mix of the old and the modern, that vie for your attention as you wander around the city. The old historic structures are eager to share their stories. You just have to listen.

Geography and Climate

Naples is a part of the Campania region around Amalfi coast. It sits on Italy’s west coast, around 190 km southeast of Rome. Naples is situated on a fairly seismically active region. It has Mount Vesuvius to the east and the Campi Flegrei to the northwest.

Naples enjoys a Mediterranean climate with mild rainy winters and warm sunny summers. Although summer temperatures average around 30-32 °C, they can be as high as 38 °C on some days. November is the wettest month of the year while August is the hottest. It is sunny most of the year, which makes Naples tourism a delight in any season.

Culture and Tourism

With a history that goes back almost 2000 years, Napoli has a rich cultural heritage. The Spaccanapoli street is a UNESCO world heritage site that passes through the historic centre of the city and divides it into two halves. It is Naples’ cultural heart that houses many old churches and museums.

As you stroll around on one of your Naples tours, you will find many pizzerias that serve delicious pizzas with hot coffee at pocket-friendly prices. It is highly recommended.
