Most people consider July and August as the best season to go to Israel. This is however, the high season and you can expect warm, summer temperatures in places such as Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. High season is also the time for various Jewish holidays such as Passover or Sukkot and you can expect scarcity of places to stay. The months of September to November and March to June is considered the shoulder season and it can get a little rainy. However, it is the ideal time for hiking. The reason why so many people consider this the best time to go to Israel.
The winter months of December to February are considered as low season and for most people, it’s certainly not the best time to visit Israel. Weather can be quite chilly and cold although this is a good time to head to warmer places such as Eilat or the Dead Sea.
