Losar marks the beginning of the Tibetan New Year in the month of February and March. It is one the biggest and most important events in Dharamshala. The hill-station comes alive for 15 days with elaborate decorations, special Metho ceremony processions and Tibetan dance and music. Special delicacies are prepared during this time.
