Talacauvery is considered to be the sacred origin of Cauvery River situated in Brahmagiri hills. The udgam, at an elevation of 4186 feet, has a temple and a pond where you can take a dip. Carrying an extra set of clothes would be a good idea. A dedicated 43-km drive from Madikeri to Talcauvery and a climb of 250 stairs may seem like a challenge at first, but they are absolutely worth the breath-taking experience. The 360° view from the summit is surreal beyond words.
