Call of the wild comes from a small island in Kushalnagar, by the river Cauvery. In Coorg tourist places have a unique way of welcoming you. A boat will take you to this enchanting Elephant Training Camp 35 km south of Madikeri. You can feed and help bathe the elephants if you reach early in the morning. Enjoy the jeep safaris, fishing, rafting, cottage night stays, elephant rides and trek trails with a trained naturalist. The camp houses over 150 retired elephants for the Karnataka Forest Department. Interesting stories and anecdotes of their history, ecology and biology await you.
