The Sukhna Lake is a 3-km-long human-made wonder that was created way back in 1958. This is by far, one of the most popular places to visit in Chandigarh. It is framed against an exquisite backdrop of the lush Shivalik Hills that add more charm to its allure. It is an idyllic setup for a relaxing lakeside picnic or takes a short boat ride in its tranquil waters. The promenade is crowded with joggers and walkers early in the morning.
Head here in the evening for a quiet time. The lake is open to visitors between 5:00 am to 9:00 pm and entry is free.
