Pay your respects at Punjab State War Heroes Memorial and Museum

If you come across a 45-metre-tall steel sword on your way to the Wagah border, take some time out and visit the Punjab State War Heroes Memorial and Museum. Dedicated to our brave army men, it showcases their warrior spirit through its displays. Of note among its exhibits are the old photographs from the 1965 and 1971 wars.

A special mural pays homage to the 21 Sikh soldiers who laid down their lives in the 1971 war. India’s decommissioned aircraft carrier has found its home here along with old MiG-23s and three tanks. Go catch the 7D show for an immersive lesson in history. This is one of the most fascinating things to do in Amritsar.
