Hong Kong Travel Guidelines

  • Fully vaccinated passengers.

  • RTPCR Test
  • Before travel commencement : RTPCR 24 hours prior
    At Indian airport : A negative result proof of a polymerase chain reaction (PCR)-based nucleic acid test* for COVID-19 the sample for which was taken within 24 hours before the scheduled time of departure of the aircraft.
    At destination airport / hotel : i) All passengers must pass temperature checks upon arrival. Those found with symptoms will be referred to the Department of Health for further handling.
    ii) No further restrictions upon arrival.
    Additional test during stay : The Government recommends all passengers to conduct daily RATs using self-arranged rapid antigen test (RAT) kits during the period between the day of arrival (i.e. Day 0) and Day 5 after arrival at Hong Kong
    Inter country travel : Not Required
    Back to India : i) International passengers travelling from Hong Kong to India will be mandatorily required to undergo RTPCR tests before their departure from these countries/destinations and upload the COVID negative RTPCR test report on Air Suvidha portal from 1st January 2023. The test should have been conducted within 72 hours of undertaking the journey to India.

    ii)This requirement is in addition to the random 2% tests of all international passengers in all incoming international flights on their arrival to India irrespective of port of departure.
    Child rule : Below age of 11 can travel with fully vaccinated parents. 12 to 18 years at least required 1 dose / preferred 2 doses. For more details please check on

  • Hong Kong is a visa free destination. One must successfully complete Pre arrival registration (PAR) and carry a hard copy that allows stay up to 14days. Upon unsuccessful PAR, one must apply for visa direct with Hong Kong Immigrations Office based in Hong Kong prior travel.

  • Quarantine rules: If a guest tests positive in Hong Kong during their stay, then they have to be quarantined in a community or a public hospital as required until they test negative. A red wrist band will be provided and the guest must download a leave home safe app.

    • All travelers should submit self-declaration form on the online Air Suvidha portal (www.newdelhiairport.in) before the scheduled travel, including last 14 days travel details. Each passenger shall also submit a declaration with respect to authenticity of the report and will be liable for criminal prosecution, if found otherwise.
