Andaman & Nicobar Travel Guidelines

  • Covid -ve Certificate Mandatory for Non-Vaccinated or Partially Vaccinated

  • Epass is not required.

  • Health Screening:
  • Thermal screening will be done for all passengers
  • All passengers travelling to Port Blair if fully vaccinated (irrespective of the type of vaccine and country of origin) shall be exempted from the requirement of carrying RT-PCR negative test report provided they are able to produce the final vaccination certificate at the origin airport and Port Blair Airport
  • All passengers who are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated travelling to Port Blair shall have to mandatorily carry RT-PCR negative test report issued from a ICMR approved lab, subject to condition that RT-PCR test should have been taken within 48 hours. RT-PCR timeline starts from the swab collection time. Such passengers shall also be required to undergo a RT-PCR test upon arrival free of cost and will have to self-isolate themselves till result is received
  • Children below the age of 5 years are exempted from pre-departure and post arrival RT PCR tests
  • If you are travelling on a connecting flight and not leaving the airport in transit station then please refer to the detailed guidelines of the respective final destination arrival state

  • Domestic Quarantine:
  • Travellers from other states are allowed to travel in Andaman
  • For Not Fully Vaccinated, 1N in Port Blair Hotel As Booked by the Guest till the RTPCR report comes.
  • The tourists need to carry COVID-19 negative report from mainland based ICMR approved lab using Reverse Transcriptase-Polymerase Chain Reaction (RTPCR). However, the sample for RTPCR test should have been taken within 48 hours prior to starting the journey from the origin station. (For e.g. if the tourist takes a fight from Delhi at 0600 hrs. on 31st March, the sample for RTPCR test should have been taken not before 0600 hrs. on 28 March).
  • If the tourist tests positive during stay in the Islands, he/she will need to undergo institutional isolation as per existing health protocols. The cost of such isolation for govt. facility will be paid by tourist is fixed by the administration from time to time.
  • If the patient wants to stay at hotels, he/she can stay in the Hotels if all the conditions below are met:
    • A. Patients are not symptomatic and not more than 60 years old.
    • B. Request/undertaking is made by patient in writing.
    • C. If allowed by doctors.
    • D. Hotels will make necessary arrangement to designate a part of their rooms for institutional isolation for this purpose.

  • International:
  • International Air passengers are permitted as per MHA order.

  • Passenger obligation:
  • COVID-19 Negative Certificate is mandatory while travelling. 
  • All passengers must download Aarogya Setu App.
  • Passenger is required to undergo COVID-19 Test at the Airport as directed by the Health Authorities

  • Operating Status:
  • All Major Tourists Spots, Flights, Hotel and Ferries, Sightseeing, Water Activities are Operational
