When to visit

The best time to travel to Leh-Ladakh via roads is from mid-May to October. Bike trips start as soon as the roads open that is in May, when they are not slippery or blocked by snow. At other times, you can visit the region via airway.

Which routes you can take

If you are planning a road trip to Leh-Ladakh, which many Ladakh tour packages offer, there are two ways to reach. You can take either the Srinagar route or the Manali route. However, if you are planning a bike trip, the Manali route is the better alternative. Both routes are more than 400 Km long but you do get to save a few kilometers on the Srinagar-Leh route.
