If your next vacation spot is Switzerland, here’s what you need to remember while you get your visa:
Firstly, you need to apply for a Schengen visa before you enter into the county. While citizens of many Western countries can enter without a pre-approved visa, the case is not for Indian passport holders.
Get your travel dates fixed and identify the purpose of travel. You will be asked to show a valid travel ticket. Travel insurance is very important. You will be asked to submit valid travel insurance while you apply for a visa, and also at the immigration counter in Switzerland.
The Schengen visa allows you to visit various other countries in the Schengen area. If you are planning to take the Euro Rail or any of the Inter Region trains to visit other countries in the Schengen region, make sure you attach the tickets with the visa documentation.
You will need to go to the visa centre to get your biometrics done. Starting 2015, it has become mandatory for to submit your biometric data at the visa centre.
