You can apply for a Schengen Visa at the Embassy of any of the 26 Member States. 22 of these are European countries.
Italy visa requirements include having a valid passport with a validity of at least 3 months beyond the expiry date of your short stay visa. Your passport must have been issued less than 10 years ago. Your passport must contain at least two blank pages for the visa details and the entry and exit stamps of Italy.
