A trip to the North East is incomplete without a tour to the Tawang Monastery Complex which sprawls over 140 square metres and houses multiple residential structures. The monastery was constructed 400 years ago and perches on a 10,000-foot peak from where you can get a stunning view of the adjacent valleys.<\/p>

The Sela Pass links Tawang of Arunachal Pradesh with mainland India. One of the most adventurous things to do in North-East is going on a hike along the Sela Pass. The pass at an altitude of 13,000 feet, often gets snowed in during winters.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Goecha La Trek<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Goecha La in Sikkim is one of the highest altitude passes in India. The trek starts from Yuksom and a round trip takes about a week. The highlight of the trek is the rhododendron forests along the pass.<\/p>
