Being the only carbon negative country, the ecological beauty and magnificence of Bhutan against the backdrop of the young Himalayas is unlike any other nation. The best time to visit Bhutan are during the seasons spring (March \u2013 May) and autumn (September \u2013 November). However, December is a unique sweet spot to visit the country for several reasons \u2013<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4a138ef elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"4a138ef\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Weather<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6e1fd8f elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"6e1fd8f\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>December marks the beginning of winter season in Bhutan. The temperatures are between 8 \u2013 15 degree celsius during daytime and may drop lower at night depending on the part of the country you are in. Hence the weather is pleasantly cold with clear skies without any threat of snowfall or slippery roads interrupting travel plans.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4423409 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"4423409\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Cost-effective<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6b7dc8e elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"6b7dc8e\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>For tourists other than those from India, Bangladesh and Maldives, a visa is needed and the minimum daily package has to be paid in advance which is either $250 during peak season months or $200 during off-season for Bhutan tourism. December falls in the latter category. The most popular are those in Paro and Thimphu that happen over April and September. The celebrations which are attended by the royal family, include a ceremony, public address and traditional dances making it a great novel experience for tourists. Festivals such as Nalakhar Tshechu, Jambay Lakhang Singye Cham in Bumthang, Druk Wangyel Tshechu in Thimphu, Trongsa Tshechu in Trongsa and Lhuentse Tshechu in Lhuentse happen over December. The dates vary every year as they\u2019re decided according to the auspicious days occurring in the Bhutanese calendar. Explore the largest protected area in Bhutan \u2013 Jigme Dorji National Park, the uninhabited Torsa Strict Nature Reserve and the Thrumshingla National Park to watch several exotic birds and animal species.
