Top Destinations to Explore on Tube in London

There are several modes of transport available for sightseeing in London. The District Line is one of the popular tube networks connecting central London to its suburbs. This line is divided in to 4 directions or 4 lines and therefore has connectivity to more suburbs than other network. Therefore, if you wish to explore London by Tube, this the best line to do so. By travelling from east to west. There are several spots of tourist’s interest along the district Line. Let us take a look at some of the places you come across while travelling in your next UK tour:

1. Tower hill Station:

you can see so many tourist spots like the tower of London, the world famous monument; the White Tower; the Royal Mint; Crown Jewel, collection of several gems which makes crown jewel including the crown worn by queen Elizabeth – II on her coronation

2. The Monument:
This 202 feet high monument was built in memory of the great fire of London. It is said to be oldest column of the world. It has 311 spiral stone steps to reach top. Once on top, you can enjoy the best view of London.

3. Westminister
A place where parliament is located and home to the politicians and west minister Abbey, a world heritage site UNESCO a site for a church, a cemetery where several national great personalities were buried.

4. St. James’s Park:
One of the oldest royal parks with beautiful views. One of the best place for picnic and a place to take break and relax.

5. South Kensington:
One of the posh and affluent areas of London. It also has large number of museums including Victoria and Albert Museums, Science Museums and famous Royal Albert Hall.

6. Fulham Broadway (Wimbledon Line)
This place is home to the Chelsea FC. For all those Chelsea FC fans, they can take an interactive exhibition to understand the teams’ history, and the stories behind their wins and losses.

7. Kew Gardens (Richmond Line)
This place is home to botanical gardens and they have been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit this 121 hectares of flowery lands and enjoy a walk through its nature trail, barefoot!

8. Richmond
Located on the banks of River Thames, Richmonds provides beautiful paths around the water way for soothing walks. You can then retire in the evening at the Richmond park, which is the largest royal park in the London.
